Thanks to the very hard work of some very dedicated members of WA’s incredible Volunteer Bush Fire Service, support continues to grow for Cadet programs across our great State.
The latest Brigade to call for expressions of interest from 11 to 16 year olds is the team at Oakford, near Byford. They recently posted the article below on their Facebook page and we thought we would give them a hand with a share. If you know a young person in the area or would like to volunteer to help with the work required to run a successful Cadet program, let the ladies and gents at Oakford know.
Thank you to all the volunteers at the many Brigades who give more than the usual to not only keep us all safe right now, but also develop the next generation of invaluable Bush Fire volunteers.
Also, if your Brigade (or Cadet unit) would like some help from the Association of Volunteer Bush Fire Brigades (AVBFB), send us an email (firstname.lastname@example.org) or send a private message on Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/VolunteerFireBrigades/) or Twitter (https://twitter.com/avbfb) now.
