Firstly, I would like to belatedly congratulate the winners of the 2017 awards. They are Citizen of the Year, Di Gilleland, and Senior Community Citizen of the Year, Grant Woodhams. The recipient of the Active Citizen Group Award were the Court Welfare Service’s Glenda Boys, Marjorie Tubby and Lynne Jones. I would like to congratulate Senior Sergeant Tim Britten, who came to Geraldton as our Australia Day Ambassador in 2018. Sergeant Britten received the Cross of Valour for his actions during the 2002 Bali bombings.
